The Joseph Baldwin Academy, or JBA, is a summer program of two three-week sessions for gifted students going into grades 8-10. It provides students with the opportunity to meet new people, take an honors class, and get a better understanding of college life.

It's so awesome! Taking the writing class is much easier than some of the others. No it isn't specialized. It has bugs, ethnomusicology, writing, debating, and lots of stuff. There's this garden thing here and we got to go there are describe the flowers for a class project. I love it here! I just sang "Eye of the Tiger" at a talent show here awhile ago.

LOL. It's almost over and I'm kinda sad. I don't wanna be here forever, but I love it here! Actually, if I had to be here forever, I wouldn't mind so much. LOL. I have one of the easiest classes. Something terrible happened when I was singing at the talent show. They got music for it, because I didn't have any. The music was so different! I couldn't figure out where to start "Face to face, out in the heat..." I stood there for a bit, then they cut the music. I started over and sang without the music. People said I sounded better without the music anyway. I was shaking really badly when I was singing accapella.

That awkward moment when you're sharing a power outlet and you try really hard not to look at the person sitting next to you but feel terribly rude.
